HAGUE, Juno 13. The seamen's strike lias 'begun at Amsterdam. (Chronicle Note: For some considerable time past an agitation has been on foot to bring about a world-wide movement in favour of a general strike amongst seamen. These men, it is alleged, hia-ve many grievances. They havb been "brought before the Shipowners' Federation by Mr J. Havelock Wilsoi, of the Seamen's Union, and the latter body say that tihey fail to see any necessity for altering the present state, of .affairs. In viiew of this, Mr Havelock Wilson consu'ted the chiefs of the seamen on the Continent, and it is now stated the Senmen's Unions of Norway, Denmar I '. Sweden, Germamy, Holland, and. Belgium have pledged themselves to come out on strike at the same time as the Britdsh seamen, should vhe dispute reach a serious stage. .411 the Unions have agreed uipon joint action.)
