Manawatu Hunt.

A meoting of the Manawatu Hunt Club was bold at the secretary's offiee on Saturday evening. Present—Messrs S. li. Lancaster (president, in the oliair), M. McEwen, J. Donaldson, W. Fisher, J. L. Buick, T. Shaw, E. Lovelock and A. Farland'.
It was deckled to arrange several runs in the vicinity of Wellington 'towards the end of the nionith, and Messrs Bnick and Donaldson were appointed to arrange another run at Hiimitangi if 'possible. It was decided >to hold till© aiiiiuml b all on July 26, the date of the Stteplachase mcettiimg, and the General Committee was appointed -a. ball committee, the. following committee of ladies (with power to add to •their number) ; being set up:—Mesdames Bruce, McEwe.ll and Palmer, Misses Wood (2), Buchanan, Shannon, McEwen (3), Lancaster, Shaw, Donaldson, e Dunk, St.ace, Carter, Buick (2), and Stopford. Mr J. Davddson was appointed sec-retary of the ball committee, and the tickets were fixed at the same prices as last year.
The following new members were elected :—Messrs Jas Hehir, Himitangi; W. H. Smith. J. G. Doyle, and Jas. Smith. Moutoa; 0. Barber, Himitangi; H. Webby, P-almerston North; D Bennett, Awaluvni; J. Adams, T. Phillips. R. F. Flanagan, B. Vile, D. Sullivan, McDonald. F. McParland, Foster, and Cyril Blumdell, Wellington. Arrangements were made to have the hounds on the Showgrounds during the competition for the Collinson and CunningJrame Cup during the Winter Show, an dit was also decided to endeavour to arrange a. •niln at Ash'hurst at an early date.
Mr D. Bennett reported lhat the Cambridge Hunt Club had jwesented him with a hound for this clulh and votes of .thanks were, passed to Mr Bennett ;»nd tho Cainliridge Club.
