Mr (.air roll referred to Taumarunui and Te Ivniti, on tho Main Trunk, as once native lands, and said now they were munic'palities. Was not that progress 0 Mr Massey knew nothing about native lands; he only indulged in vague generalities. Mi Carroll el alienged Mr Massey to- say where 1.1: - six million of waste native lands w re that he was so fond of talking a', nit. The statement was absotlntely intrue. The Government was in : a class Government; it legislated for all—small farmers, workers, a;. i tho whole people. There was iv: need to pull flown tho Liberal j b: "ier now. They should do all tl could to strengthen it, and do tl: :r share to contribute to the p; press of I lie country they all lc >d so much. The Hon. Mr Ngata gave a short address, and urged the young electors to be aware of wolves in sheep's clothing. Ti:» Opposition, he said, were putting 011 Liberal clothes and begging to be put in power. They wouild col repeal any legislation. They only wanted to administer the government. of the country. Tlie policy of tlie Libera! party had not chmged. The social was a great success, and there was a large number <>f persons present.
