Sir,—Xo one has answered my suggest ion about having a public debate between the Mayor and the auotion-e-erin" company. Can't some councillor move a resolution on the matter? While we wait for that we will be wondering whether the auctioneering company is suffering from the blow on the point that the Mayoi- gave him last week when answering tho company's letter about Oxford street. He -really <lid catch the company's figures in a ibiggedlyniggedly place, and twist .him up a few.—l am, etc.. DOUGHBAXGER.
