A bay mare, a bay filly and a chestnut colt are in the Levin pound. If not claimed by June 11, will bo sold. An advertisement dealing with live pigs wanted appears in another column. Mr F. W. Jones reports that he has done good business in connection with his first sale at tho Corner Book Arade, Levin. A change in the window display is a feature of the Arcade this week, and a new advertisement on the matter will appear to-morrow. The Levin Auctioneering Co. -will hold their usual sale of furniture and produce on Friday, June 2, as Saturday (the regular sale day) is a statutory holiday. In addition to the ordinary Mart sale the firm will sell, under distraint for rent, the whole of the contents of the photographic studio in Oxford street, recently occupied by Messrs Butterfield and Johnson. The goods will he sold at the studio entirely without reserve. A reminder is given to farmers and settlers generally of the clearing sale to be held to-morrow (Wednesday), at the farm of Mr J. Bowles, Bruce road, Weraroa. A stack of new hay is amongst the items to be auctioned, and the dairy stock is guaranteed to foe of first quality. A farm horse, by the well known sireSir Talbot, is to be brought under the hammer. He is a fine Mack, six-year-old, and guaranteed sound. The sale commences at 1 p.m. sharp, and luncheon will be provided.
