The Imperial Conference sat for two and a half hours. ~ Mr A,squit<h spoke for half an hour, and made sympathetic references to the Iftte King Edward and Sir Henry Camp-boll-Bannerman. He emphasised the non-party character of the Conference. Five premiers replied. The Conference decided to sit on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from eleven o'clock to 1.30 p.m., and in the afternoons if urgent. Sir Joseph Ward withdrew his .resolution in favour of the admission of the Press. An official summary will be issued daily. Sir Joseph Ward then moved his Imperial Council resolution, and is still speaking.
