Tim Prime Minister (Mr Asquith), at the Foreign Office, heartily welcomed the oversea delegates to-day on. the opening of the Imperial Conference. Ho'briefly defined the scope of the Conference. The Rt. Hon. L. Harcourt (Colonia.l Secretary), the Rt. Hon. Sydney Buxton (President of the Boardi of Trade), and several Ministers were present. The Press were not admitted.
