THE SYDNEY SUICIDES
A RUINED INVENTOR. [BY KIjECTRIC TELEGRAPH-COPYRIGHT.] [PKR PRESS ASSOCIATION. J SYDNEY, May 22. Tho Basterds (who took prussic acid) were from Auckland. They were, married at All Saints' Oh.ur.ih on October 10th, 1901. The- wife was formerly Miss Biillen, daughter of a schoolmaster. Hasten! was tho son of a warehouseman, and has been in Sydney for four years. The post-mortem revealed prussic acicl in each body. It is stated that Basterd was fin-iuit-ially ruined through the failure of an invention for treating .refractor-/ ore.
