THE LOCAL TIME TABLE. Searching through a railway time* tacle makea moet people irritable. The railway table, like the polony, contains many good tilings, tali the publio prefer to have the one particular food (whether mental or ali- , mentary) desired on a given oooation, not a hotch potoh of figures concerning the branoh line of Toko, the side track at Wagsonrille, or the cross line to Novermarch. The particular figures likely to be of benefit to dwellers between Paekakariki and Palmeraton North are what readers of the florowhenaa Chronicle need most, and for oar readers' convenience those figaree are now appended:—

The Auckland express reachee Palmerston, from the North, ai - 12.40 p.m. and arrives at Thorndon at 4.7 p.m. The Auckland express leaves Thorndon at 12.15 p.m. and reaches Palmerston at 3.35 p.m
