HOME RULE FOR IRELAND.
To the Editor Sir,—l was going to have written a- few line.s on Home Rule from a strategical point of view, 'but seeing the article on the same subject from the pen of such an authority a.s .4 Captain Mahan, which you re-print-ed, it is unnecessary for me to add more. Tt is difficult for any wellread man to see what is to be gained by Home Rule, except that it will, to n certain extent, relieve the British House of Commons of a great ■ don'l of trouble a.nd waste of time. A.s a large amount of money will no doubt be taken out of Nlew Zealand T presume the people have a right to know what they aro to benefit, an J how the funds aro going to be spent.—Yours, etc., ONE BROUGHT UP IX IRELAND.
