At the police court, a.s the resulh of a raid made recently 'by the police, at a Maori settlement, John Callaghan, a coachman, wa.s fined C 2 for supplying liquor to a native. Defendant had brought out beer from town for a native named Swan, who was also charged with introducing liquor to a Maori kianga, and who was fined G5.
