— N.Z. RUGBY UNION. ANNU AL~MEETI NO. [f*R TRKBS ABSOCI.TIQN J WELLINGTON, May 11. The annual meeting of tho delegates to the New Zealand Rugby Union was hold to-day. COUNTRY REPRESENTATION. A sub-committee was appointed to oonsider a scheme to giro players, outside main centres, more opport inities for consideration in selection of New Zealand and North and South Island teams. Tt was suggested that in tho North Island the unions of South Au.,,tland, Poverty Bay, Hawke's Lay, Bush Bistrict-s, Manawatu, ITorowhenna and Wairarapa should contribute, say, each three men. making 21 in all to form a North Tsland country team, to plav matches ;ir, Auckland, Taranaki, Wanganui and Wellington, and that in the South Island tho unions of Marlborough. Nolson, Bnller. West Coast and R Canterbury contrihnto say each Canterbury contribute, .say. oacli four men making dO in all to form n. South island country team to p ry matches at Tnvercarcill. Dnnedi'.i and Christehurch. These matches ■would be against local union# and .if. ter the tours teams would play against each other in Wellington. The financial risk would be undertaken by the New Zealand Union. The scheme was adopted with modifications, one of which was that the management, committee shall >~ecide where the final match will e played. MAN A WATT" BOUNDARY.
