MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
An address on municipal matters— in form of a retrospect and a foreword—is to bo givenj>y the Mayor of Levin this evening. Borough doctors are invited to attend at the Oentury Hall at 9 p.m. to hear the address, and also to listen to the speeches of such; candidates for municipal honours as may be disposed to avail themselves of the Mayor's invitation to them to speak It is unfortunate that th© meeting cannot b© held at an earlier hour, hut inasmuch as the election of a school committee is timed for 8 p.m. this evening, the municipal meeting has had to he delayed in fairness to those who were interested in both matters. Mr Gardener has intimated that his address will last only half an hour, so it will be possible for the council candidates to speak at reasonable length without prolonging the meeting to a very late hour. This op-., portunity to give public expression to municipal ideas should bo welcomed both by the candidates and the burgesses who are to choose between them.
