Potatoes are still firm for _ firstclass lines. Considerable prejudice exists here against any tnut fair sizei dtiibers;- Onions are firmer. Vegetables are all in good demand, excepting marrows and swedes, there being a specially good , enquiry for lettuce and cauliflower of good quality. Apples and pears meet with good enquiry. Eggs have taken a considerable advance, and the demand isi keen. Poultry is in fair demand, but the expected increase in values for' Easter trade .has not been appreciably noticeable. Oats are very firm, with small offerings. Pollard lias advanced 10s per ton in Australia. Stocks of oat pollard are now exhausted, and we shall not be able to execute any more orders for this line.
