The attendance is excellent, including some nieiwbers of the Gaming Commission now on tour inspecting the dominion racecourses. The going was greatly benefited by the rain of Monday and Tuesday night and is in perfect condition. Results :— Karere HTirdiles—Gold Bird 1. Burton 2, Maidi 3. Scratched : Sardonyx. Won easily by a couple of lengths. Time, 3min 18sec. Linton Welter Handicap—Stevens 1, Jargon 2, Kilosteri 3. Scratched: Ladrono, Golden Age, Waitoso and Defeat. Won by half a leugth. Timo 1 min 43 4-ssee. Seventh Manawntu Stakes, 6 furlongs.—Sun%urnt 1, Orton 2, Masterpiece 3. Scratched: Dearest, Rangiatua, Peirene. Orion led to the home turn, when Sunburnt headed him and won by three parts of n length. Time, lniin 1 Isoc.
