On Saturday afternoon there was a good muster on tlio local courts, when a team from Paraparaumu tried conclusions with the local club's B team. The weather conditions were all that could be desired and an enjoyaWe time was spent. The visitors were taken for a trip round the lake prior to the match. The result of the match was a win for Paraparaumu by one set. chiefly owing "bo the good play of the visiting ladies, who were successful in all but one single. Their fir.-;'; lady, Miss Courtis, played excellent tennis and won her games rather easily. The Levin men. after winning their singles easily, lost in bhe doubles, showing no combination.
