"ONLY A MOTHER."
To the Editor.
Sir, —Hearing that credit (doubtful) has been wrongly given to us in the matter, will you kindly allow mo to disclaim—for myself or anyoiie connected with me—the authorship of letters recently published in your columns over the nom-do-plume of " Only a Mother." Wo may or may not agree, with the religious .sentiments expressed by your correspondent, but for my part I fail to see why .such "light" (P) should bp hidden under a bushel, or why such talent (?) should be hidden under a. nom-de-plume.' But, may I suggest, sir, that if a- journalistic rule was ■established, making it necessary that all correspondence for pulbliwition should be over the writer's name only, we should then have less mock sympathy, and less bombastic opposition slvown to deserving projects placed before the public per medium of the Press.—Yours, etc., HERBERT E. KEYS. Tiro Tiro Road.
