STOCK SALE AT PORTRUA

The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agemcy Co., Ltd., report:— On Monday last we held our initial stock sale, at Porirua, in Mr Mungavin's yards (kindly lent for the occasion) and were favoured with a very fair share of the total yarding. Competition generally was good, and,, except in one or two instances where vendors' reserves wore rather high, we cleared everything. Quotations: S.m. ewes, 10s 2d; aged ewes, 4s 6d, os, Gs fid. 7s. 8s 9cl; shorn rape lambs 6s 3d, 7s 7d ; woolly lambs, Gs; 6-tootih Shropshire rams, l^gs.
