In fruit, the chief feture of recent sales has been the keen dmand and high prices for highly coloured dessert apples and pears. We to-day sold pmrple plums at 5s 6d, while Orgons were hard to quit at 2s. The late discharge of fruit from Nelson and Mo-hueka boats often necessitates holding lots over till nex day, hence lie delay in arrival of some of our clients' returns. Eggs are firmer, and keenly enquired for. Grass seed orders are now reaching us by each mail, and large quantities are going forwrd.
