SHANNON METHODIST HARVEST FESTIVAL.

The workers of this enterprising little church are .about to bold their Annual Harvest Festival, and with a view to securing more space, they have engaged the Druids' Hall for their three services (11, 2. D0 and 7) ir>.n Sunday next, February 19th. There will be special decorations to be arranged on Saturday by a. bond of willing workers; also the usual gifts of fruit, vegetables and such like. A selection of harvest hymns has been practised, and hymn sheets will be provided for all visitors. The sermons will be prearhed by Rev. James Sharpc. of Feilding. and a united children's service will bo held in the afternoon, also addressed by Mr Sharpe. There are many well-wishers who will make it their pleasure to be present to encourage by presence and sympathy, those who are working so diligently. "We understand that the festival is to be continued by a meeting on Monday, February' 20th (also in the Druids , Hall), when the sale of ■fruit, etc.. will be the o'eca-smn of a "Dutch auction," conducted by Rev. P. J. Mairs; of Foxton. A musical programme, entitled "An Evening •with the Famous Artistes of the World" (on the era ma phone) is to follow, and the whole evening will be a social and practical conclusion of the harvest celebration and thanksgiving.
