An oxproys travelling at r>3 miles an hour dashed into a goods train. Five trucks escaped. The. engine only was derailed, but 20 wore killed. Twelve bodies have boon recovered. Sixty persons wore ■injured owing to an explosion, and seven wcro bnrnod to dentil. The driver of the express failed to see the signals as the wind blow (ho smoke into his eyes. Nineteen passengers in the dining car escaped with the exception of cuts from broken crockery and glass. Another smash occurred at Uclliuno. Two workmen's 'trains collided. Two persons wore killed and twenty injured.
