Charge of Assault
tPER PKEBS ABBOWJAIWON.I DARGAVTLLE, February 13. A young msm named H. F' Rride was -Drought before the Holensvillo Court on a charge of assaulting an Austrian in'Ms camp at Kaukaplcapa. ami demanding payment of £5. In liis oviden.ee the Austrian stated that M''Bride came into his camp at night time, and gripping him by the throat, said, "Pay me £5 or T will kill yon." The magistrate stopped the case, and directed, the police to lay a fresh information, so that the mattor may conic before tho Supremo Court. The Bench advised M'Bride not to attempt to leave the district pending proceedings which would be taken against him.
