Dawson, the general secretary of the Alliance, said that at the last meeting of the Execuive after a careful consultation with the party throughout the dominion the following manifesto was agreed upon:—(1) That a Hill shall bo introduced in the next Session of Parliament amending the Peer Duty Act so as to bring breweries under ■the power of the local option vole: (2) that no candidate for 'Parliament who maintain-; the present undemocratic three-iifths majority can have the support of the New Zealand Alliance: (3) that every member of the present lixuse and every person who announces himself a candidate shall be requested to state plainly wha.t his attitude sinll be on the majority question.
