6 HITCHINGB. HANKINS A*D CO., LTD. Pigs and Poultry.—The marKet on Friday, 11th inst., did not show any advance for porkers, but as we predicted in our last report, store pigs were in good demand at advanced prices. As soon as the bacon factories commence operations, there is certain to be a good demand for baconers, which are very scarce at the present time. This will not have any effect on the pork market as far as we can ascertain. There should, however, be a food market for porkers throughout tbe season, as owing to the rearing of a larga number of dairy calves this season, the supply of pork is very much smaller than was tbe case last vear. We quote as follows Porkers (beavv) 28s fid. 30s to 34s fid: (mediums) 2fis to 275, (light) 23s fid to 255; sows in pis, 50s, 53s fid to fiOs: store piers, 16s, 18s, 18s to 22.s for forwar dpiVs; weaners. ss. fis Cd to lis: slins, lis fid to 12s fid.
