Onions are slow of sale, and the prospects for the earlv Canterbury Globes are not bright. Fruit, is keenly competed for, and values, generally speaking are very fair indeed. Small and bruised apricots liave been ruling ' low, but the demand is now better • for all kinds. Peaches meet ready sale, also highly coloured dessert ap--1 pies. Plums are rather slow of sael, while tomatoes are bound to weaken as the Hutt crop comes in, which will ■be in about a week. Vegetables are in fair enquiry. Poultrv has fallen in value and the demand is at a low ebb, nor do we see any prospect of a rise for some time to come. Bran lias weakened, but pollard is still verv scarce.
