The Levin Auctioneering Company held their usual sale of furniture, fruit and produce on Saturday at the, Central Mart, Levin. There was a very large attendance of the public aiui fruit sold well considering the quantity in the_ market. They report: We offered 153 eases of fruit of all descriptions, consisting of consignments from Motueka, Napier, Waikanae, Otaki, Manakau and Levin, and sold every case under the hammer; we also sold the contents of a cottage, whidli we removed: to the mart for convenience of sale. The attendance was exceptionally large and bidding was 'brisk throughout the sale, resulting in a complete clearance of all goods submitted. We quote: Peaches, Gs Od; nectarines, 5s 3d ; greengages 4s Gd; yellow Ogon plums, 3s 3d; Orleans, 3s; Burbanlc, 2s 6d: apples, 2s 3d; bottling plums 2s 9d; per half- case; strawberries Is per lb; onions, l|d; -potatoes Gs per cwt. Furniture and 1 sundries at satisfactory prices.
