Sheen sold well, every lot being disposed. of at late rates. Cattle were in good demand, very little goino- out unsold. Tftero has not been much business doing in fho gi-ain market in Christchurch during the hsb few days, ns farmers are taking advantage of'the fine weather to push on harvesting operations. Practically no new wflieat is yet offered, and only a few lines of oats are coming forward. Sales of tthe latter have'been made up to 2s at country stations. Prime malting barley changes hands at quotations, but only the host quality is being taken at present. In view of me.new crop heing harvested oatsheaf chaff has cased off in price' and sales, of bright have been made ait 7os at country stations.
