The Markets in Levin.

——« . HITCHINGS, HANKINS AXD CO., LTD. Pigs and Poultry.—The market on Friday, 11th inst., did not show any advance for porkers, hut as we predicted in our last report, store pigs were in good demand at advanced prices. As soon as the bacon factories commence operations, there is certain to be a stood demand for baconers, which are very scarce at the present time. This will not have any effect on the t>ork market as far as we can ascertain. There should, however, be a "•ood market for porkers throughout the season, as owing to the rearing of a large number of dairy calves this season, the supply of pork is very much smaller than was the ens© last rear. We quote as follows:—Porkers (heavyi 28s 6c!. 30s to 34s 6cl; dnprliums} 26s to 275.
