Four boys, Itihe eldest aged nine years, placed a quantity of gelignite on a tram line at Gwalia, off the Northern Goldfields, and , then hid in lt\\e vicinity watching the result. The sun melted and partially destroyed the explosive, but when tho tram passed over it i't exploded and tore a hole in the ground a foot deep, and damaged the line. The car was uninjured.
