Prime Minister's Tour.
[PER PKEHS ASaOCLATIOiS J. OHIUSTOHUItCH, January 17. Sir Joseph Ward arrived from D lined an to-night, and will stay here for a day. To-morrow he will transact departmental business, and will receive deputations, leaving for Wellington in the evening. Speaking to a Press representative Sir Joseph Ward said that lie had recently completed an extended southern tour through Stewart Island, Rivorton, Clinton, Edendale, Mataura and Gore, aaid tho districts surrounding. The whole of the country through which ho had travelled seemed to be remarkably -prosperous, and many of the farms were perfect gardens to look at.
