-ft LONDON .MEAT .M ARKET. Messrs Gilbert Anderson and Co. report as follows under date London, December 2nd, 1010:— Slow dragging trade in all classes of meat. Supplies of Home-grown have been short. Prices have been maintained; English ewes, 3:.'d. Dutch mutton and lamb continues to arrive, prices being: mutton 4;} d to o ; ' ( d ; land) 5.', to Gd. There are heavy supplies of chilled beef and prices are lower: fores 25d to 2:|d. hinds to 3 id. Frozen beef meets with a slow sale, but prices are practically unchanged. " The low price of di.illed beef is greatly disturbing tho frozen beef trade. New Zealand mutton and lamb stocks are very small, but prices remain unchanged. Australian shipments for November are reported to be a record: complete shipments are not to hand, but are estimated to be over 100,000 of mutton and 800,00 ft of lamb—a large quantity to move off when supplies of all classes of poultry and game, rabbits and hares, are oil the market. The future depends entirely on shipments.
