RIFLE SHOOTING.
LEVIN" DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB. On Saturday afternoon the Levin Defence Rifle Club fired; tlieir second competition for the 'third series of trophies. which wore kindly donated !>v Messrs 0. Frcchling and G. Milne. The inn toll also counted for Mr I". Glaokin's silver oup. The •lav was fairly favourable for shooting but itiliere was a. very tricky wind blowing, which made it very difficult for marksmen to judge at times, and : n consequence tlio shooting was only of a fair average.
