NEW ZEALAND OFFICER TO
VISIT ENGLAND AND
AMERICA
With tho object of investigating the latest forms of telephone equipment and installations, tho Government has decided to .send Mr T. Buckley, chief electrician of the Post and _ Telegraph Department, upon a visit to England aud America), ai- ah early date.
The Prime Minister (states the New Zealand Times) says that the Government is carrying out large telephone construction works in New Zealand, and there are some new .systems in operation in other countries from which useful information may ho gained. Thus it is desirable to have a. detailed report before, fining in for a largo expenditure.
