WELLINGTON, Dec. iO. Potatoes are plentiful, and quv':t/ first-class. We are daily eletv. ig large quantities from Hutt and Mimawatu. Rumours of blig'it have reached us lately, which, if correct will moan a largel yincreasai sipply during the next few weeks. Globe onions in perfect condi'-ftn are offering freely. Of vegfl awes, beans and peas have been chulT cr. quired for. Cabbage is > slights higher, and in better enquiry. Fit it is now coming to hand in large quantities, but choice dessert kinds, particularly apricots, peaches, and tomatoes, a.re in good and at high values. Plums and cooking apples are low. As is usual during the holidays, values have been very irregular. Eggs are ir excellent demand, and increased supplies are wanted. We have no change to report in grain. We expect a brisk enquiry for grass seeds immediately after the holidays, and clients should hook # early, as ryegrass particularly is short. The closing yea rhas been a prosperous one for us, and we sincerely trust that the company's efforts on behalf of its clients have met with general satisfaction. The staff are all imbued with the spirit of doing the very best for our farmer friends, and we look forward _ with hope to tlio coming year, which will, we trust, be a, good one for our suppliers and the company.
