DOINGS IN MANAKAU.

Mr liobt. 15evan is again the first to forward fat iambs from Manakau this .season. Two lots of line lambs have been trucked away already, and next week anothei truck of fat lambs is to he sent away by the same gentlemaji.
The larmei's here are starting to shear their wethers already, and the first consignment left here yesterday.
The milk industry is in full pull just now, and farmers are very hopeful of having a good season. The Dairy I'nioit has installed a complete up-to-date plant to meet the increased milk supply, and the future prospects of Manakau, from a financial aspect, looks very promising indeed.
The Otaki Road Hoard lias issued instructions to form and gravel the fuotpMh on Ifoni Taipu street, and when completed this work will effect a great improvement to the town. A coniinencenient wdl be marie in a few days' time.
