An _ advertiser in to-day's Chronicle is desirous of purchasing a horse. A desirable residence of five rooms and outbuildings, situated in the best part of Levin, is advertised for sale in to-day's Chronicle. The house is especially well finished, and .reasonable terms are offered. A hay gelding is in fjhe Levin pound. If not claimed will he sold to-morrow. Notice is given hy the County Council that the special .roll in connection with the proposed loan foir the .purpose of metalling and forming_ streets at Tokomaru, is inserted in this issue. C. Smith, Ltd., Palmerston N., drapers, have a ireplace advertisement on page 1 of to-day's issue.
