For United Kingdom, British Possessions and other places enumerated in schcdnlo at Post Office Id for each oz or fraction thereof ; for places not named, 2Jd for each oz., and l|d for each succeeding oz. NEWSPAPERS. Within tho Dominion, id for each newspaper. To Australia, South Sea Islands, Canada, etc., each newspaper Id; to United Kingdom, Id by direct steamer, by other routes Id for first Bozs, nnd id each additional 207,5. To other countries, for tho first iozs Id, each additional 2oz id. Tho weight of newspapers for transmission to Australia and British New Guinea at tho Id rate is restricted to 20ozs. for each copy; for each lOozs or fraction thereof additional id. MAGAZINES.
Magazines (not registered), all places, Id each 2ozs. Magazines (registered), within the Dominion, Id for each 1Goz« or traction thereof; Australia (except Queensland and West Australia), under 2ozh, H ; 2'>?.s to Goz.s. Id; each additional 4ozs, id; Queensland, West An strnlia, and other places, id each 2ot;s. POSTAL NOTES. One shilling, Is Cd, 2s, 2s 6d, id; 3s and os, Id; 10s up to 20s, 2d. COMMERCIAL PAPERS. Town (for accounts, etc., only), id if not exceeding ioz, or Id for first lozs, and id for each succeeding 2ozs. Inland, Id for first 4 ozs find id for each succeeding 2 ozs. All other places 2Jd for first lOozs, and id for each succeeding 2ozs.
REPLY COUPONS. As a means of onabling the sender of a letter addressed to a place abroad to prepay the postage on a reply, the Department issues reply coupons on payment of a fee of 3d. These coupons may be exchanged for a postage stamp of the value of 2sd in any country which adopts the scheme. BOOKS AND PRINTED PAPERS. All places, £d for each 2ozs. MONEY ORDERS. Up to £5, 3d; above £5 to £10, Gd: above ClO to £15, 9d; above Cl 5 to C2O, Is; above £20 to £25, Is 3d; above £25 to -J3O, Is Gd; above £30 to £35, Is 9d; above C 35 to £10, 2s.
British Postal Orders for fixed sums from Gd up to 20s may bo procured at the principal Money Order Offices in New Zealand. REGISTRATION. Universal fee of 2d to all plac&> The sender of a registered article may obtain acknowledgment of its due receipt on payment in advance »f 2Jd. PATTERNS AND SAMPLES. Inland, not exceeding 2ozs, id, over sozs, same as for other places. Ail other places, not exceeding Bozs Id. every additional 2ozs £d.
