A remarkable life story attaches to Signor Nevada Landino, a famous American tenor, aged, 'JO years, who is soon to 'appear in grand opera, in London. He is a pupil of Madame Emma Nevada, and, has just come to London after a successful tour in the Tinted Slates.

F.ventually some friends sent tno to an aoadoniny, and an engagement by Mascagni to fill a tenor role at the Metropolitan Opera House put me on the road to fame." Signor La-odino sings in four languages, and his repertoire embraces 200 songs and 17 operas. lie recently learned the opera "Tuaviata" in four days. has a photograph of Madame Nevada, of which he is very proud, for the renowned opera singer has written on it: "Aim for the highest. Listen to your own conscience. flave faith in God and in your own beautiful voice and talent. He severe loi yourself and indulgent for others.'' Signor fiandino studies six horns daily, and his favourite recreation whiic in London, ho says, is to "walk in the parks." He does not smoke nor touch any form of aloohvlir drinks.
