ANNUAL REPORT.
The foiwth annual meeting of the .members of the Horowheftua Agricultural and Pastoral Association •will be held to-day in tdie Druids' Ball. The annual report and bal-ance-sheet, wihich read as follows, will be submitted by the secretary:
Gentlemen,—lt is with pleasure that your committee presents you the fourth annual report and bal-ance-sheet, n,nd takes the opportunity of thanking one and all for tlu assistance they have given to tin Association. The balance-shoot shows the Association to be in a sound and , prosperous position, tb assets being £293, while tho liabilities aro £33.
This year's expenses were in creased by a largo amount, whMi i.s accounted , for by pxtra prize money given, and also tiho largo amount spent on the erection of pig yards, estimated at least at £50. The amount spent in connection with the pig classes was repaid b,\ the splendid exhibition of animal shown, and one can say without feni of contradiction than no better exhibition of pigs was over made in the dominion. Many letters from tlhe exhibitors have been received thanking the officials for tbo consideration and attention given to them. The question of holding a two days' show will no doubt conro mider discussion of the 24th. The date oi. the next sihow will oe on Wednesday, February Ist, 1911, this date being the only one suitable to U in with other .show dates. It is with .pleasure we learn that the Association is likely again to c ve the services of M/ H. 8. Hadneld. Tflris gentleman has taken a deep interest in the affairs of the Association, and it will bo with very hearty congratulations that we w.i" welcome him back to tho dominion in good l .health. Tho wannest > thanks am due to the many donors of moneys and other gifts, and it v, ■to be trusted they will still continue to heartily support the Association.
