NEW YORK, September 22. Tbeire were 42 persons killed anc. seven injured, in the Wabash Valley collision, details of which appealed in our cable columns of yesterday. The conductor, using a flag, prevented a trolley bar that was approaching from dashing into the wreckage, thus avoiding a greatei disaster.
Another accident occurred on the Erie Railroad at Spencorville, Ohio, m which one passenger was killed and twenty-five injured.
