Mr .Martin .Murray, who resigned the Comity Clerkship to accept the position of Assistant Town Clerk of Napier on iNi tu.Klay night, when the .Mayor presented him with an illuminated address, gold albert, sovereign case and silver-ware on behalf of the townspeople. .Mr Jull, County Chairman, presented him with a silver tea set and a rose how!, the gift of the council's employees. Eulogistic, speeches were made by prominent residents. Mr .Murray also received presents from the Bowling and Pacing clubs and from St. Patrick's choir.
