All counted there were (51 new season's fat lambs penned, and they mot with a very gool sale nt prices ranging at 17s (kl to 2()s Gα for best and 15s to 17s for smaller.
The yarding of fat sheep was made up principally of good to prime wethers, -with a lew pens of c-wes and ..lariuo wethers. The range of prices was: nrime 20s to 20s, lighter li'is Id to IDs 7d, <pninio ewes 18s Id to 22* f)d, others 10s !)d to Ms [Id.
Steers made G7 fis to £11 and extra to £I,'} ;«, heifers £5 10s to £0, and extra to CIO " )S and cows £i) fis to £8 Ids, and extra. £10 10s, equal to 28s (id to 30s I'ot prime steers. Meef, medium quality 28s, and nwvs and inferi.T '<?fs to i/s per IOOIbs. A line of 32 steers from the Xorth Island made £11 10s 8d to £13 us, averaging £12 Us. Veal calves brought 4s 6tl to £2 2s fid. A moderate yarding of store cattle sold at rather easier rates.
