AUCKLAND STOCK MARKET.
At the Westficld yards fat cattle sold at almost last week's rates, ox beef soiling to 29s per 1001b, and cows to 255. Steers sold at from .10 10s to £13 2s Gd, cows and iheifore AM 10s to £9 17s (kl. Oalves sold at late irates, from 3s to £2 Us. Sheep were penned in averago nuiwbors, and sold at fully last week's quotations. Best wethens sold to 3().5, others 22s P-d to 295 , others 17s to 235; hoggets 13s 9d to CI 2s 9d ! . La inks were yarded in good numbers, and sokl 'a.t prices ranging from Ms to 19s. .Pigs were yarded in less numbers than usual, and sold at late rates.
TAR ANA KI SALES. Mr Newton King's weekly stock report is as follows: At "Waiwakaiho, on Friday, September 7, there was a good yarding of cattle, with a fair attendance o,f buyers. Bidding was brisk, and good prices were realised, especially for springing cattle. Calves made 12s, yearling heifers £2 3s. yearling steers £2 5s (id to £2 12s fid, 18-months to 2-yea;r heifers £2 lls Gd to £3 17s Gd" incalf heifers £1 to £4 17s Gd, springing heifers £5 to £8 2s Gd, store cows £1 17s Gd to £3 Is, forward cows £3 17s to £4 15s, sprino-inp-raws £0 5s to £9, do.
