WEEKLY REPORT,

(Special to "The Horowhenua Chronicle.")

For the convenience of the farm* ing community, " The Chronicle " is reprinting from day to day, daring the autumn season, the t;notations of prices current as isuned by the Farmers' Distributing Company WELLINGTON, September 1. Australian potatoes are now ©omin gin to this market, so that no further rise in, values is looked for, provided Australian rates do not advance. Seed up-to-dates from South are still soiling freely, with excellent quality assured. The onion market is somewhat fully supplied, but advancing values in Melbourne should ease off the supply that has lately beon coming from there. Cauliflowers slumped in values at the end of last week, but have now firmed again. Choice cabbage is in splendid demand at high prices, but ordinary are selling slowly. Carrots and swedes are very slow of sale. Pbroed rhubarb from the Hutt has met a ready sale during the week at from 6d to lOd per lb. Apples are in oxcellent demand. We still want much larger supplies of porkers, fungus, beeswax, and walnuts. Honey is very slo wof sale. Egs have touched bedrock, and today have sold at lOd.
