For Railway Passengers Guidance.

SUMMARY OF THE NEW TIMH TABLE. The alterations and amendment* to the railway time table have reduced many a citizen to the state of John Jones, costermonger, aome time of London, made illustrious by a song writer who sang of him that "since Jack Jones came into a littla bit of oof 'e dunno where e' arel" The experiences of varying tiraa tables during the past three or four months have left dubious impression* in the minds of citizens, f and quite a number have missed their passages through confusing last month 8 times with those of the present. I Some of the above trains will stop |at intermediate stations, such aa Tokomaru, Ohau, Manakau, Te Horo, etc.; but there are tome which do not. Local residents may ascertain which are the trains which cater for their towns, and may then work out, from the above figures, the time which the train will take to travel from the station immediately preceding. The Auckland express reaches Pnlmerston, from the North, at 12.40 p.m. and arrives at Thorndon at 4.7 p.m. The Auckland express leaves Thorndon at 12.15 p.m. and reaches Palmerston at 3.35 p.m.
