[BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT.] [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION."] (Received This Dav. 9.35 a.m ) MELBOURNE, This Day. _ Hie Postmaster-General, referring to Great Britain's deferred cable decision, said it was an extraordinary situation seeing that private or foreign companies had notliling to do with the Pacific cable, and that the partners in the latter approved of the deferred system. Probably Britain's action was influenced by private companies in Great Britain, who inigilit be so strong as to bring pressure upon the Government.
