A meeting convened by tili'O Chaiuiber of Commerce last night passed a strong resolution protesting against clause 19 of the Native Townships Hill, giving the Grown Solicitor the right to purchase Native land townships and urging r th( ; lessees and the Crown should be on an equal footing. A deputation was appointed to visit AVellington and interview the Native Minister.
