Ladies will find quite a nunibci of classes of special interest in tilif horso division provided in tho prize list of the Mauawatu show—these classes are exclusively for them— and the arrangements for those competing are swh as to make the occasion a vcay enjoyable one. Po.i a pony turnout to be driven by a lacly iv £o ten and coffee service is offered for first prize, a case of fruit and fish knives £2 10s, for second. There is a lmnters' competition with prizes £10, and classes for side saddle and iTavided skirt are sepaulately provided with £6 in prizes. The ladies' driving class, over a laid out course, is provided with £1-0, and best hack to be ridden by a lady £11. There aro two new features which should certainly be popular innovations. The firstis a class for lady's and gentlemen's llinck to be ridden together, and. judged as a pair; tho second is a class called rnusital stalls, played hy ridera on horses on the same principal as musical chairs. The tun in this will <vf course be in competitors entering in pairs and the the gentleman contriving to assist the lady to win.
