In the House of Representatives the whole sitting was devoted to a discussion on the Land Tax. The Opposition strongly protested against the principle of graduation exemption, and Mr Foster declared that the Mill was introduced for the personal purposes of the Labour Party, the members of which were trafficking in land. The debate was adjourned.
