FLAT RACES.— The winner of any flat races after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of 101 db, and every additional race a further penalty of 61bs. Horses handicapped at Bst 101b or over to carry onlv half the above penalties. HURDLE RACES.—The winner of any hurdle race after declaration of weights to carry a penalty of lOlbs in the Hurdle Race, and for ©very additional race 71bs extra. , NOMINATIONS. WEIGHTS AND ACCEPTANCES'. NOMINATIONS for all ©vents close on FRIDAY, August 12th, at 8 p.m. WEIGHTS for first day will be declared on or about FRIDAY, August 19th. For secoiid dnv's races will be declared on tlio niglit of the first day's races at about" 8 p.m. ACCEPTANCES for first day's races close on FRIDAY, August 26th, at 8 p.m. For second day's races close with tho Seci-etary on the night of the first day's races at his Office, Weraroa, at 10 p.m. RULES AND REGULATIONS. 1. That no entry will bo received for # any race excepting on tlfin condition :—That all disputes, claims and objections arising out of the races shall bo decided by a majority of the stewards, or those they may appoint, and their decision upon all points connected with tho carrying ont of tho programme sliall be final. 2. All entries to bo sealed and addressed to Secretary, Box 10, Weraroa, with entrance money enclosed, name find age at time of entry, pedigree and performances of horse, also name of owner and colours of rider. jockeys to ride- in costume and in colours nominated, otherwise a fine of 2 sovs will be imposed. 3. When two or more horses start the property of tho same owner a distinguishing colour must bo worn. 4. All races to bo run under the New Zealand Rules of Racing. 5 Horses walking oror will receive only half tho stakftb. 6. No horso whoso nomination and acceptance foes are unpaid will be allowed to start. 7. Entries by telegram must be confirmed in writing by tho followin? mail. 8. All entries and nomination* must bo in the hands of tho Secretary at the time and place as advertised. HACK DEFINITION.- No horse shall start in any hack race wTiich has at any time prior to tho timr of entry won a race to tho value of 100 sovs, or rnces of the aggregate value of 250 sovs to tho winner.
